Thanks to a new generation of telescopes, the never-ending story of Stellar Evolution is told in spectacular detail. Telescopic ultrasound -- a camera sensitive to infrared light -- monitors prenatal suns incubating inside clouds of hydrogen gas and newborn protostars emitting ultraviolet energy.
