Current Positions
- I am currently working as a Research Associate in the Astronomy Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC), collaborating with You-Hua Chu.
- I sometimes alternate my research with work as a Visiting Lecturer at UIUC, teaching introductory astronomy courses.
Teaching
I have taught several introductory astronomy courses at UIUC (Astro 100, intended as a survey course for undergraduates). I have also assisted with a graduate seminar course in Infrared Astronomy.
- Fall 2004: Introductory Astronomy (instructor)
- Spring 2005: Introductory Astronomy (instructor)
- Fall 2005: Infrared Astronomy (assistant to instructor)
- Spring 2005: Introductory Astronomy (instructor)
Educational Background
- Ph.D. University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, 1999.
Research Interests
- My primary interest is in the study of diffuse structures in the interstellar medium (ISM), particularly supernova remnants (SNRs). I primarily work on data at X-ray, infrared, and optical wavelengths, although where possible I collaborate with others to form a complete multiwavelength picture of the objects under study.
- I am working on a web based multiwavelength catalog of supernova remnants in the Magellanic Clouds.
Recent Publications
- Preprints of recent papers may be found from my Preprints page.
